Spanish courses in Barcelona at the Don Quijote Spanish Language School
Don Quijote has been offering Spanish courses in Barcelona for over 15 years and operates several Spanish language schools across Spain including programs at their centers located in Salamanca, Granada, Tenerife and Valencia. Additional Don Quijote Spanish schools are located in Seville and Madrid (please contact us by e-mail or phone for information on Spanish language courses at these destinations). All the schools are centrally located, and the same teaching method is used by all. Don Quijote emphasizes the practical use of the language. Even if you are a complete beginner, you will learn to communicate very quickly, as classes are taught entirely in Spanish. Teachers are highly skilled in teaching foreigners. Authentic study materials such as newspaper articles and videos are incorporated into the classes. The school never exceeds 8 students per group, thus allowing teachers to give personal attention to each student.
It is possible to combine Spanish language courses in the Don Quijote Spanish schools, for example, beginning a 4-week Spanish course in Salamanca, and ending it in Granada. This way, you can get to explore and experience different areas of Spain, and make your Spanish language study trip even more exciting!
The Barcelona Don Quijote Spanish school occupies an entire 5-story building located in the heart of the city center, on the famous boulevard ‘La Gran Vía’.
The Don Quijote Spanish school has 65 spacious classrooms all with windows and balconies. The ground floor is dedicated to the teachers’ room, multimedia classroom, a central meeting and recreational area where you can watch TV, read the newspapers, have coffee with your fellow students or do your homework. There is also a magnificent roof terrace available for student use.

All prices for the Spanish Courses in Barcelona include: Spanish lessons as listed below, level assessment and end-of-course certificate, welcome pack containing a map of the city, orientation tour, reception at the school, tutor support, internet area and wireless connection with unlimited Internet access and email and 24-hour emergency phone line. Super Intensive 30 Spanish Courses: Group Size: max. 8 students per class – 20 Spanish lessons per week (each lesson is 55 minutes long), plus 5 Spanish Culture and Conversation workshops PLUS 5 semi-private lessons each week. All levels from beginner to advanced. Maximum of 8 students per class (average 4-6).
New! Executive Premium Spanish Courses – Executive Premium Spanish courses are also available at Don Quijote Tenerife, and Don Quijote Salamanca. Executive Spanish Courses consist of group lessons (25 or 30 lessons per week) in a mini-group of 3 students per class maximum. Courses start any Monday. Prices include all items listed above under “Intensive Spanish Courses” plus fully personalized attention, coffee during breaks, pre-exam and oral level test by phone before arrival.

Group classes missed due to holidays are NOT made up (except when 2 holidays fall in the same week, either one day will be made up or a 20% discount will be applied to that week’s price). One-to-one lasses missed due to holidays will be made up during the rest of the week. Note: Holidays are subject to change by central or local authorities.

Don Quijote Barcelona – Accommodations
Don Quijote offers accommodations in host families, shared apartments and at their on-premises residence. The residence, which opened in 2002, has 25 rooms as well as 24-hour security guard service, all rooms have private bathrooms. You may prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, electric coffee makers and refrigerators), or have half board included. It also has a dining room, living room (smoking and non-smoking) with TV, video and stereo, as well as washing and drying machines.

Don Quijote Barcelona – Activities
A welcome dinner is offered on the beginner starting dates and a guided city walking tour is given on those dates also. One extra cultural class is offered every day covering subjects such as Gastronomy (learn how to make a Paella), Spanish History, social issues of Spain today, etc. Use of the multimedia room with free Wi-Fi, videos, music tapes and books are available for student use. For those students that are interested in meeting and talking with Spaniards and exchange program is offered (however, please be aware that about half of the conversation time is expected to be done in English). A “Cultural Adaptation” counselor is available to assist students with any problems they may have adjusting to the new cultural environment.
Airport transfers: Airport transfers are available AT ADDITIONAL COST: USD 115 one-way. Students may use taxis or buses to reach the city.
