"Colon" is a German language school offering full immersion German courses and located in 3 buildings in the center of Hamburg. The buildings have all been completely renovated, and now house 80 classrooms in which 22 languages are taught. In the main building, there is also a cafeteria-bar with an international atmosphere for students and the general public and it offers a wide range of meals. The German department has the biggest faculty in the school (40 teachers). The school has a balanced international atmosphere. It also has an international bookstore, stocking books on all major foreign languages, as well as course books for the study of languages. As of 2001 they also offer a student residence located on the same premises. |

Intensive German Course Group 12 --- 25 German lessons ( 45 minutes each ) per week, maximum of 12 students per class. Prices: 1 week: USD 220; 2 weeks: USD 440; 3 weeks: USD 660; 4 weeks: USD 880; Extra week: USD 220; (This course is offered in the mornings - 8:50 AM to 1:00 PM- and also in the afternoons -1:30 PM to 5:45 PM-.)
Combined Intensive German Course Group 12 PLUS --- 25 German lessons (45 minutes each) of General Group 12 (see above) PLUS 5 One-to-One German lessons per week. Prices: 1 week: USD 530; 2 weeks: USD 1,060; 3 weeks: USD 1,590; 4 weeks: USD 2,120; Extra week: USD 530.
Materials fee (all courses): approximately USD 42, payable upon arrival!.
Starting dates 2010: Intermediate and Advanced students may start any Monday. Complete beginners MUST start on the following dates:
Holidays 2010: 1 January, 2 April, 5 April, 13 May, 24 May, 3 October, 25-26 December. The school is closed between 24 December 2010 and 2 January 2011. Accommodations 2010:Host Family: Private room, breakfast: USD 390 per week. Host Family: Private room, half board (2 meals a day): USD 515 per week. NEW: School Residence: Located in the same building as the school, single or double rooms, minimum stay 4 weeks, minimum age 18, daily cleaning included, bedding and towels are provided, shared bathrooms, TV on every room, public telephone available, no meals are provided and there is NO kitchen: (Important note: Arrival and departure at the school residence is on FRIDAY!)
