Minimum Age: 16 (14 if accompanied by an adult and enrolled in private lessons only) Intensive French Course - Group 9 --- Maximum of 9 students per class, 20 French lessons per week - Prices: 1 week: USD 295; 2 wks: USD 590; 3 wks: USD 885; 4 wks: USD 1,160; 8 wks: USD 2,320; 12 wks: USD 3,360; 16 weeks: USD 4,520; 20 wks: USD 5,680; 24 wks: USD 6,480. IMPORTANT NOTES: A) Books are not included in the rates and must be purchased locally at the bookstore after the initial placement test (approx. USD 30). B) For the purposes of forming homogenous groups, if the number of students at a certain level is less than 4, the school reserves the right to adjust the number of hours of training as follows: 1 student = 10 hrs of private instruction. 2 students = 15 hrs of semi-private instruction. 3 students = 17.5 hrs of semi-private instruction. Depending on student's level classes may be held in the morning (8 AM to 12 Noon) or in the afternoon (1 PM to 5 PM) at the sole discretion of the school!. Starting Dates for group courses 2009: Courses begin every Monday for all levels.
One-to-One French Classes: Private French lessons. USD 63 per lesson. 5 lessons minimum per week, 1 week minimum. French private lessons may also be added to Intensive Group course. Holidays 2009: The school is closed during the following Holidays in 2009: 1 January, 10 April, 18 May, 24 June, 1 July, 7 September, 12 October, 25 December. Classes missed due to holidays are not made up.
Accommodations 2009:Host Family: Single Room, Half Board: 1st week: USD 400; Extra wks: USD 250 per week. Bed & Breakfast: Prices upon request. Additional USD 150 placement fee applies. Hotel: Prices upon request. Additional USD 150 placement fee applies. Airport Pick-up: is available at additional cost: USD 100. (Note: a taxi from the airport is considerably cheaper: approximately USD 35). ActivitiesThe school organizes a "happy hour" every Thursday at a local restaurant/bar where students can meet each other. July is one of the best months to attend classes because students have the opportunity to attend the Quebec International Summer Festival. Quebec city offers a full range of activities that vary according to the season.
