Spanish Language Programs 2009:

All programs include the number of Spanish lessons as specified below, FREE Latin dance
classes from Mon.-Thur., free internet access and complimentary Costa Rican coffee
throughout the day. Spanish classes are 50 minutes long. The Institute operates both morning
and afternoon schedules, morning classes start at 8:15 AM and afternoon classes start at
1:15 PM. The Institute reserves the right to assign students to either morning or
afternoon schedules, as the assignments will depend on each student's level and also
students participation on the excursion program offered below. Scroll down

Holidays 2009: The Institute will be closed during the following holidays in 2009:
1 Jan., Holy Thursday and Good Friday, 11 April, 1 May, 25 July, 15 August, 15
September and 12 October. It will also be closed for Christmas from 19 December 2009
through 3 January 2010.

Spanish Language Course and Excursions ---
Combination Spanish plus Excursions program. Intensive
Spanish Course (see above) plus a number of
diversified cultural and sightseeing activities. Course cost: ADD
USD 105 per week to the Intensive Spanish Course (see above). The excursion program is composed of half-day tours to many of the
sites and natural treasures that make Costa Rica unique. Price includes guided tours in
the school's private bus and entrance fees. Please contact us for additional
details.
One on One Spanish Lessons---
Private Spanish lessons. USD 20 per lesson.
May be organized all year round but may not be available during high season: usually June
and July. Minimum of one week, 2 lessons daily. Each lesson = 50 minutes.
Spanish Program for Children:
(offered to families traveling with children between the ages of 6 and 15).

Specialized
Spanish Program: (combination of group and private instruction concentrating on
specific vocabulary for business people, nurses, doctors, flight attendants, law
enforcement personnel, etc.). Additional information and pricing for

Home Language Lessons: (students receive private
classes and live at the teacher's home). Additional information and pricing for

Special Summer Program for Teenagers - Spanish
Language Camp:
Summer Spanish Teen Program 2009:
(Spanish Language Camp for students 13 to 17 years of age)
The Summer Language Program for teenagers consists of 20
Spanish lessons per week in small groups
divided by language level. This program emphasizes oral proficiency and a solid foundation
for daily use of the Spanish language for teenagers. Students may attend by themselves, or
accompanied by a family member attending the center's regular programs. Students
will be placed with specially selected Costa Rican host families with teenage sons or
daughters. Participants are closely supervised by the institute and also by their host
family and must abide by the same rules imposed by each host family on their own
children. They must comply with an 8:00 PM curfew unless accompanied buy a host
family member. The program includes cultural and sports activities and guided visits to
many of the sites and natural treasures of Costa Rica. Classes are held in the
afternoon from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with mornings reserved for activities. Weekends
are spent with the host families. Program price includes: 20
Spanish language lessons
per week (each lesson = 50 minutes), textbooks and handouts, room and full board with a
host family, laundry, guided tours, sports, cultural activities and round trip airport
transfers. Free Internet and e-mail access at the school's Internet Room is available to
all students.
Prices Teen Program 2008: 2 weeks: USD 1620, 3 weeks: USD 1940, 4 weeks: USD
2250. Each additional week: USD 475.
Starting dates Teen Program 2009:
6 July
and 3 August (4 weeks only). Beginner students must start on these dates, students
with higher levels may start either the 2nd or 3rd Monday after the indicated dates above.
Arrival in Costa Rica must be arranged for the Sunday prior to the start of the course,
departure must be arranged for the Saturday immediately following the end of the course.
Accommodation Prices 2009:
The School offers participants accommodations in selected
host families to complement their full immersion Spanish programs. Costa
Ricans are known around the world for their warmth, welcoming attitude and
helpfulness. Host families in Costa Rica reflect these special traits and
welcome students with their traditional warmth. Families are located within
easy commuting distance to the school by public transportation.
Host Family Stay: Single Room, 2 meals a day: USD 140 per week.
Additional days: USD 23.
Additional accommodation options:
Information on Bed and Breakfast and Hotel accommodations can be provided
upon request but students are responsible for making those arrangements directly with the
hotels.
Airport Pick-up: Airport pick-up is optional
and available on request. One-way airport pick-up from San Jose airport to
accommodations: USD 55
