ANTIBES (Cote d'Azur)

Antibes / Juan-Les-Pins are two separate towns forming a single community of 70,000 inhabitants, located on the Cote d'Azur roughly half way between Nice and Cannes (25 minutes from Nice by train). Home to many artists, Antibes takes great pride in its Musee Grimaldi-Picasso in Chateau Grimaldi. There are many other famous museums of great interest to art lovers, including the Musee Archeologique and Musee Peynet. The old part of the city is incredibly charming. Its small, narrow streets are full of stores and cafes. At the end of July and beginning of August, Antibes holds its "Ete Musicale" and "Festival du Theatre".

Centre International D'Antibes

Centre International caters to young adults as well as professionals in their thirties and forties. The school is situated close to the center of Antibes, in calm surroundings perfectly arranged for classes. It has a lunchtime restaurant and terraces everywhere, one of which has a breathtaking view of the town and the sea. The staff is young and dynamic, and the atmosphere in the school is relaxed and easy-going. Their grammatical handbook has been created by the school's teaching directors and is included in the program fee. Teachers use a variety of audiovisual aids such as video cameras, VCRs, televisions and tape recorders to teach the language in a completely interactive way.

Programs  2003

Group 12 (Standard) -- 20 lessons per week (each lesson = 45 minutes). USD 265 per week.

Group 12 (Intensive 1) -- 20 Group 12 lessons + 10 Mini Group 6 lessons per week (each lesson = 45 minutes). USD 412 per week.

Group 12 (Intensive 2) -- 20 Group 12 lessons + 16 Group 6 lessons per week (each lesson = 45 minutes). USD 483 per week.

Starting dates 2003:

Intermediate to advanced students may start any Monday between 6 January and 20 December 2003.  Complete beginners must start on the following dates:

Holidays 2003:  1 January, 21 Apr, 1 May, 8 May, 29 May, 9 June, 14 July, 15 Aug, 1 Nov, 11 Nov, 25 Dec.  No classes are held on public holidays and classes missed are NOT made up.

Accommodations  2003:

Host Family:  Host family prices include transfers from the Antibes train station or the Nice-Cote d'Azur airport.

• Single Room / Breakfast only: USD 294 per week.
• Single Room / Half Board (2 meals): USD 340 per week.
• Single Room / Full Board (3 meals): USD 393 per week.

Residences: The school offers several different choices for Residences. Although they will do their best to accommodate your preference, they cannot guarantee reservations for a particular residence. All prices below include continental breakfast: you may have breakfast either at your residence or in the school cafeteria. The school cafeteria also serves lunch on class days and half board from Monday through Friday may be reserved in advance for an additional fee of USD 40 per week.

High Standard Residences:

1. Residence "Garret" is located within the school grounds, in the same building as the classrooms and the cafeteria. Rooms are fully furnished, and have a small kitchenette with an electric stove, fridge, direct phone line, television, air conditioning, private bathroom and a small terrace. Bed linen is supplied for the duration of the stay and is changed once a week. IMPORTANT: Towels are not provided!. Daily cleaning service is optional (extra charges apply). Prices include breakfast Monday through Friday. July through August: USD 891 per week.      Rest of the year: USD 502 per week.

2. Residence "Residentiale" is located in Juan-Les-Pins, a block away from the beach and half a block from a shopping area. A free shuttle is provided every morning to the school which is located a mile away. (Shuttle service is NOT provided in the afternoons back to the residence though!). Rooms are fully furnished, and have a small kitchenette with an electric stove, fridge, direct phone line, television, air conditioning, private bathroom and a small balcony. Bed linen is supplied for the duration of the stay and is changed once a week. IMPORTANT: Towels are not provided!. Daily cleaning service is optional (extra charges apply). Prices include breakfast Monday through Friday. July through August: USD 891 per week. Rest of the year: USD 502 per week.

3. Residence "Lou Mas" is located next to Castel Arabel (see below),   6 blocks away from the beach and 5 blocks away from the shopping area of Juan-Les-Pins in a quiet area of town. The residence has a separate entrance but shares facilities with Castel Arabel:  a terrace, a modest sized swimming pool, a grill bar and snack-bar, as well as a TV room and a "disco" ("Castel Club") located on the premises. A free shuttle bus will take you to school in the morning (12 blocks away). The rooms are fully  furnished and all have private bathrooms, several rooms also have small private terraces.  Bed linen is supplied for the duration of the stay and is changed once a week. IMPORTANT: Towels are not provided!. Daily cleaning service is optional (extra charges apply). July through August: USD 891 per week. Rest of the year: USD 502 per week.

Medium Standard Residences:

1. Residence "Castel Arabel": is located 6 blocks away from the beach and 5 blocks away from the shopping area of Juan-Les-Pins in a quiet area of town. The residence has a terrace, a modest sized swimming pool, a grill bar and snack-bar, as well as a TV room and a "disco" ("Castel Club") on the premises. A free shuttle bus will take you to school in the morning (12 blocks away). The 45 rooms are simply furnished and all have private bathrooms. There are no phones in the rooms but the public phone at the residence may be used to make and receive calls. Fax service is also available at an extra charge. Bed linen is supplied for the duration of the stay and is changed once a week. IMPORTANT: Towels are not provided!. Daily cleaning service is optional (extra charges apply). July through August: USD 632 per week.    Rest of the year: USD 294 per week.
