Russian Language Courses in St. Petersburg, Russia

St. Petersburg, located at the mouth of the Neva River, was founded in 1703 by Peter the Great as a much needed Baltic port. The city has a mild climate due to warm offshore currents—amazing given the fact that it has the same latitude as Alaska and Greenland! St. Petersburg was officially made the new capital of Russia in 1712 and soon became famous internationally for its beautiful architecture, grand palaces, museums, theaters and universities. Subsequent rulers, Empress Elizabeth, Catherine the Great and Alexander I, commissioned splendid buildings which reflected European tastes and traditions and added to St. Petersburg’s beauty. It is no wonder that writers, poets, artists, musicians and European "sophisticates" flocked to St. Petersburg eager to experience life in this grand and mysterious city. St. Petersburg is split by the Neva River into northern, eastern and the southern center which is home to the Winter Palace, the Admiralty and the Nevsky prospekt. It is a city that offers much to its visitors who cannot help but be affected by its atmosphere, history and beauty.

The One-to-One Russian Language courses are designed primarily for corporate clients, executives, government officials, interpreters and future Russia/CIS representatives. Visa and Vaccination Information

The school provides all participants with an Invitation Letter which is necessary to obtain the visa. The visa fee will depend upon the applicant’s citizenship and the local consulate’s pricing policy. Please note that it is extremely difficult and expensive to prolong a visa once in Russia so please be sure to indicate clearly the length of your stay in Russia. Visas are valid for one entry only.   Special note regarding visas: the cost of the invitation letter required for the Russian visa is included in the prices listed above. However, since the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs charges additional fees for expedited processing of the visa invitation letters, applications received within 4 weeks of travel date will incur an additional USD50 fee, those received within 2 weeks of travel date will incur an additional USD 100 fee.

The school also strongly recommends that participants check to see if their diphtheria vaccination is current.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Prices are subject to change due to fluctuating foreign currency rates.
