French Language Programs 2012:

Application fee for all programs: USD 100. Please see general application procedures.

Minimum age: 18 years of age (16 if requesting accommodations with host family)

Standard French Course: Group 12 (maximum of 12 students per class): 20 French lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes), minimum enrollment: 1 week. Systematic acquisition of vocabulary, grammar, structures of the language and development of communication skills. All levels.  Prices 2012:  1 week:  USD 429;   2 weeks: USD 798;   3 weeks: USD 1,126;   4 weeks: USD 1,455;   Extra weeks: USD 329.   Long Term: 8 weeks: USD 2,769;  12 weeks: USD 3,659.

Intensive French Course: Group 8 (maximum of 8 students per class): 30 French lessons per week, minimum enrollment: 1week. Standard course plus learning activities which improve oral skills and the knowledge of French culture and civilization.

Prices 2012:  1 week: USD 545;   2 weeks: USD 1,031;   3 weeks: USD 1,456;   4 weeks: USD 1,882;   Extra weeks: USD 426.

Starting Dates 2012: Beginner and advanced students must start on the dates listed below. Elementary to high intermediate levels may start any Monday.

One-to-One French Lessons: Private tuition, 5 to 20 lessons per week, minimum 1 week. As a complement to the "group" courses or taken separately, these courses allow tailor-made answers to specific needs : phonetic or grammatical correction, preparation for exams (CCIP, DELF, Matura, Abitur, A-level, Maturità,...), studies of special subjects (secretarial or legal language). Starting dates: Any Monday.    Price:  USD 75 per hour.    (If booked separately from a group course please add USD 62 enrollment fee. Fee does not apply to private lessons booked as a complement to the group courses).

Holidays 2012: No classes will be held on: 9 April, 1 May,  8 May, 17 May,  14 July, 15 Aug, 1 November, 11 Nov.  Classes lost due to holidays are NOT made up.  The school will be closed from 21 December 2012 to 7 January 2013.

Accommodations 2012:

Azurlingua offers accommodations in selected host families, their on-site residence, studio apartments and hotels.  Accommodations are available from the Sunday before the course starts until Saturday after the course ends. 

Host Family Accommodations:   Choosing to stay with a host family is the best way to discover the French way of life and to get regular language practice in a friendly atmosphere. Great care is taken in selecting our French host families. To help you settle with your host family and quickly feel at home with them, we take your age and hobbies into account. Most of our host families live less than 30 minutes walking distance from school. Those a little further away are always close to a bus stop.

   Host Family: Single Room with half board (2meals per day):    1 week: USD 366;   2 weeks: USD 732;   3 weeks: USD 1,098;   4 weeks: USD 1,464;   Extra weeks: USD 366.

   Host Family: Single Room with breakfast only:                          1 week: USD 317;   2 weeks: USD 633;   3 weeks: USD   950;     4 weeks: USD 1,266;   Extra weeks: USD 317.

Studio Apartment (Residence Citea): The single studios (double for couples or friends only) are fitted with a kitchenette, shower, toilet and a desk. They also each have a telephone and television. All necessary cleaning materials for daily care of bedroom and kitchenette are at your disposal. The studios are all air conditioned.  Located 20 minutes walking distance to school.  Prices are subject to room type and availability.

     Single occupancy:       May-Sept:  from USD 625 per week.        Rest of the year:  from USD 512 per week. 

     Double occupancy:      May-Sept:  from USD 690 per week.        Rest of the year:  from USD 590 per week. 

On Site Residence "Campus Central":  Situated within the Azurlingua complex, the "Campus Central" residence has 21 bright, comfortable rooms which have been entirely refurbished. On each floor there is a television, a telephone and a shared fitted kitchen where you can meet the other residents in a relaxed, friendly setting ; of course students will have to respect the basic rules of communal life. All necessary cleaning materials for daily care of your bedroom and communal areas (kitchen etc.) are at your disposal in the "Campus central" residence. For laundry, several launderettes can be found nearby. Whether single or double rooms, all bedrooms are fitted with a private shower and toilet. They are between 15 and 22 square meters and answer to the modern criteria of comfort : modern decoration, practical storage units and functional working space.  Students will be welcomed from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Sundays, unless a transfer service has been booked. An inventory of the room will be made and a deposit of 150 Euros will be asked for. Students will be given a key to the apartment and asked to consult the House Rules. Departure: On Saturdays before 10.00 .a.m..

     Single Room, no meals:       May-Sept:  USD 429 per week.      Rest of the year:  USD 317 per week. 

     Double Room, no meals:      May-Sept:  USD 357 per week.      Rest of the year:  USD 258 per week. 

Hotels: available upon request.

Airport Transfers: From Nice Airport for arrivals on Sundays and departures on Saturdays between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM only:  USD 70 each way.  

Activities:

Azurlingua organizes a complete range of cultural, sporting and social activities. Students are encouraged to participate and to put their classroom work into practice and speak French while taking part in the leisure activities. The activity program is an integral part of the foreign language learning experience - an experience which goes far beyond the classroom. Results prove that French can be learned just as well during an excursion or during an evening out with native French people as in the classroom. Almost everyday, activities are offered by the entertainment activity coordinators. It is up to you to choose the one you like.
