For all programs: In summer there is a maximum of 12 students. You will
systematically study grammar, pronunciation, conversation and the skills of listening,
reading and writing. The Cultural Program is 5 lessons per week, during the evening. This
consists of special talks and lectures on Austrian music, art, literature, geography and
history, and on typical socio-political problems. Video films, slide shows, discussion
groups and sightseeing tours of Vienna complete the program. These activities are all
included in the price.
German and Work Experience in Austria --- Combine
German language courses with valuable work experience with the German + Internship program.

Housing is available in home stays, school residence (available
year round), student residences (not operated by the school and available
from July to September only!), or apartment shares. Host families and
apartment shares are located approximately 20-40 minutes away from the
school via public transportation. School residence is located 10 minutes

NEW! School Residence: Actilingua now
offers accommodations in their own residence in a quiet location close to
the U3 subway and near the school and the city center (10 minutes by
subway). The residence has been fully renovated, and offers 18
apartments for single or double occupancy. All apartments are equipped
with TV's, kitchen and shared bathroom. Cleaning twice a week is included.
Optional "Hotel Service" is also available offering private bathroom and
daily cleaning from Monday to Friday. NOTES:
high season surcharge from 22 June to 31 August: ADD $65
per week! There is a refundable deposit of 110 Euros required upon
arrival, deposit will be returned when the keys are returned at the end of
your stay.

Activities
On the first Monday after arrival, the school offers an introductory sightseeing
tour of Vienna. The school welcomes students with a party that includes an introduction to
the Viennese Waltz by an experienced teacher.
Weekend Excursions: Actilingua organizes weekend excursions to famous European
cities not far from Vienna: Salzburg, the city of Mozart; Budapest, the capital of
Hungary; and "golden" Prague, the capital of Czechoslovakia. Additional trips
are offered to other beautiful locations on the Danube such as the monastery at Melk, the
"Wachau" (the Danube Valley), trips into the mountains or boating. Prices for
excursions range from $26 to $105.
Sports: There is easy access by subway to swimming facilities, cycling, sailing,
surfing and water skiing on the Viennese Donauinsel (island in the Danube). Once a week,
sports-minded participants and teachers meet for football, volleyball or aerobics.
Airport Transfer: from Vienna airport is available upon
request and at additional cost: USD 72 each way.
Actilingua German for Teens Summer Program
2008:
Active junior programs for young students (12 - 17 years of age)
A prestigious school, founded by Empress Maria Theresia, provides optimum learning and recreation facilities for the Actilingua junior
program. The school is centrally located in Vienna, with the famous sights only a
walk away or within easy reach on public transport. The house and grounds – a
former summer residence of Emperor Karl VI, the father of Maria Theresia – are
spaciously laid out. You are accommodated on campus in modern rooms together with students
of the same age from different countries. You study in small, international groups and
enjoy full-board catering. Sports grounds and tennis courts are available for use
after lessons. Our teachers put together an exciting leisure program on the school
premises and show you the very best of Vienna.
German Language Summer Youth Program 2008
German language for Teens --- 2, 3 or 5 week program
consisting of 20 or 30 German lessons per week (max. of 14 students per
class), with accommodations at an on-site residence, full board, and daily
activity program.
Cultural and leisure time program:
- Sports: Table tennis, volleyball, football, swimming, aerobics.
- Creative activities: handicrafts, music, newspaper, theater and pantomime groups.
- Other activities: excursions, film evenings, treasure hunt, barbecue, disco on
the school premises, Vienna sightseeing, farewell party.
- Optional: riding and tennis lessons.
 
Accommodations and Meals
Students stay in modern 2-6 bed dormitories at the school residence. In the
school canteen they have full board + a snack during breaks.
Comprehensive price includes all of the following: Intensive language lessons
(20 or 30 lessons per week, 45 minutes per lesson), full board, lodging, supervision 24
hours per day, cultural-leisure program, excursions to the city center, 2 excursions on
