Spanish Courses in Valencia, Spain

VALENCIA

Valencia is the third largest city in Spain. It has a lot of growing suburbs, and modern buildings are being built. Located very close to the Mediterranean, this coastal area is one of the most beautiful because of the calm seas and white sand beaches. Valencia is famous for its oranges and other fruit and for "Las Fallas," a carnival-like feast held during March when all kinds of funny monumental sculptures are exhibited throughout the city; one day, amid fireworks and firecrackers, they are all burned, offering an incredible spectacle.

Spanish Courses at Centro Internacional de Lengua y Cultura Espaņola (CILCE)

CILCE Spanish Language School was established in 1969 with the purpose of teaching Spanish language and culture to foreigners. It is accredited by the Ministry of Education. Many European groups come for specialized Spanish classes, such as Spanish for medicine, journalism, tourism, law and other fields. The Spanish School facilities are located in a stately old building in the old part of Valencia, in the center of town. It has 10 classrooms and a media room. It is close to several museums and public transportation. There is a cafeteria next to the building where students go for lunch and coffee breaks. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. There is also a library and a kitchen where cooking lessons take place.

What former students have to say about this program:

"A truly amazing experience. What I liked best was meeting students from all over the world. Due to this program I now have good friends in Italy, England, Switzerland and Brazil. I can't imagine having chosen a program where I would have studied with only American students."
